**About the opportunity**
RPS is seeking a General Manager with strong leadership skills, demonstrated history of business development and project delivery, to lead our Project Management office in Western Australia working with Government and Corporate clients.
The General Manager position is a full-time permanent role and is responsible for the evolution and execution of the Western Australian Project Management business plan in line with the RPS group-wide services.
This includes developing business, financial management, client service delivery and
leading and managing the Perth team to achieve timely, high quality client outcomes which are
profitable for the business.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Develop business, financial management, client service delivery and leading the Perth team to achieve timely, high quality client outcomes which are profitable for the business
- Develop and maintain relationships with new clients and enhance existing relationships with both internal and external clients
- Develop business plans that align with RPS AAP’s Strategic Development Plan.
- Assist EGMs to develop, implement and review business plans, marketing strategy and operational plans.
- Drive business development initiatives to assist with RPS’ growth plans
- Provide Project Management support for large building and property, infrastructure and defence projects including planning, construction and integration
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Lead the delivery of projects to optimise time, cost and quality outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently through unstructured tasks
- Foster an effective culture that retains key staff and promotes career development.
- Provide leadership and direction.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, staff performance reviews and termination of staff.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field;
- Strong background in management of professional services organisations;
- AIPM Certified Practising Project Director certification or equivalent;
- Able to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
- You will have senior management experience leading small to medium teams in the growth of a professional services business, delivering within a framework of targets and strategic plans.
- You will have a well-established network of relationships with potential clients and service providers that you can leverage to support growth in the business unit.
- Experience in previously held senior management positions, with strong involvement and demonstrated capacity in marketing, business development and financial management;
- Well-developed presentation and communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to manage business relationships including negotiation and successful resolution of contentious issues;
