The **Open Pits Department**at **NSR** currently has a newly created opportunity for a highly experienced **Maintenance Manager**to join the team, working at our **Subiaco**based **Corporate Office**, on a permanent and full-time basis.

Reporting to the **General Manager - Open Pits**, this key senior role will engage effectively across multiple site & corporate based departments to develop & continually drive a performance culture that consistently delivers positive & successful outcomes across all facets of open pit maintenance at NSR.

- Provide asset management advice to stakeholders, including mobile plant maintenance and capital infrastructure.
- Manage and execute asset maintenance contracts effectively
- Undertake Company month-end processes.
- Improve and drive better maintenance outcomes for our Mobile Plant
- Undertake regular benchmarking to ensure NSR is competitive with other similar sized mining companies.
- Identification of business improvements, proposals of economic solutions, actions and progressing as agreed.
- Project and feasibility work.
- Maintain and improve mentoring programs for Northern Star personnel with particular emphasis on identified higher risk sites.
- Appropriately liaise with technical and operational personnel to ensure asset management considerations are appropriate for feasibility and other assessment works.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect the site facilities.
- Review and audit existing processes and systems.
- Review maintenance practices and maintenance inspection reports.
- Undertake site-based relief work as required.

**To thrive in this role.**

Qualifications & Experience:

- A Trade background with a qualification as a HD fitter, LV Fitter or Auto Electrician.
- A Tertiary Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience (five plus years) at a senior level in a maintenance role within the mining or heavy equipment industry.
- A broad & extensive working knowledge of maintenance principles & techniques relevant to open pit mining equipment.
- Significant use & optimisation of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) and/or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) as management tool.
- Front line involvement with successful maintenance contract management with an operator in the mining or heavy equipment industry.

- You possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed & deliver under pressure.
