Graphics Team Leader

**The Opportunity**

At BlackMilk we are known for our incredible designs on our clothing - our talented team of graphic designers are behind these designs, and now we are looking for the missing link to that team, our Graphics Team Leader

This role is crucial for providing design feedback to the team, ensuring designs are in line with briefs. You will lead the planning, prioritising and coordinating of the daily design schedule, in close collaboration with the Design Director; allocating work to the team factoring in skill set, workload and critical path deadlines.

So, what does this look like on a day to day? You will:

- Translate design feedback from the Design Director to the Graphics team to ensure the work produced by the team (concepts and garments) is relevant, on brand and consistently meets the brief.
- Support individual team members in troubleshooting any artwork issues that may arise, drawing on technical advice from within the team as required to ensure it is correct before sending to production.
- Track the sampling of garments and swatches and follow up with the team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Attend fit sessions for printed garments, taking relevant notes on direction provided by the Design Director and provide feedback and suggestions on amendments to the team.
- Manage external contractors.

**About You**

You thrive on the buzz of a fast paced, creative environment, and enjoy leading creative teams. As a leader, you enjoy mentoring and coaching your team, inspiring and identifying opportunities for growth. You are a clear communicator, with the ability to outline expectations and briefs clearly to the team. You will be a motivator and driver to the team, helping with prioritising and workflows, and supporting by alleviating barriers where possible to streamline the process.

Some of the things we are looking for:

- Computer savvy and ideally have experience in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Extremely personable with effective communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent problem solving skills coupled with the ability to think outside the box to achieve extraordinary things
