An exciting opportunity has emerged as part of our National People & Culture team for a highly self-motivated individual to become part of our success story and play a pivotal role as a People and Culture Advisor for our site at Banyo, Brisbane.

**Your primary responsibilities will be to**:

- Provide generalist HR and IR advice on a range of people issues in line with People & Culture policies, practices and relevant legislation
- Being the site safety leader including undertake workplace investigations and provide recommendations to leadership teams based on findings including conducting formal performance management meetings
- Manage non work related injury cases
- Interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Assist and guide performance management by supporting and coaching leaders
- Educate and coach leaders on appropriate practices and processes including performance management
- Ensure all documentation is legally compliant and best practise
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders both within the client group and more broadly across the business
- Union and EA negotiation experience would be advantageous

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Five plus years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing / FMCG environment
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive knowledge of human resources management issues and relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/leadership teams to design, develop and implement HR strategies to meet business objectives.
- Generalist HR experience including managing non work related injuries, IME processes, leadership coaching and learning and development
- In-depth knowledge of employment law
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results through collaboration and influencing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and client focus
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to deal effectively with a broad range of people at all levels within the business
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with a reputation for being empathetic and a positive and uplifting role model
- Capacity to be adaptable, plan, organise and manage time effectively
- Energetic, have strong communication skills and is self-driven
- Able to multi-task
