**About HIVERY**:
HIVERY is a fast-growing artificial intelligence start-up headquartered in Sydney Australia. We are backed by the largest data research center in Australia, CSIRO's Data61, and our co-founders have PhDs with AI and operations research backgrounds. We use advanced machine learning and operations research techniques to provide solutions for the retail sector and work with some of the largest brands and retailers globally. We are headquartered in Sydney with offices in the USA and Japan.
**Role description**:
Reporting directly to the CTO, the Technical Program Manager will lead our delivery across product development and engineering. While you report into the Technology team (which is scaling quickly across AUS & USA), this is a highly collaborative role where you will work with all functions across HIVERY to drive technically complex, high priority and multi-disciplinary initiatives in our business.
No two days will look the same. On Monday, you will update the CEO on Curate’s delivery roadmap then switch to facilitate agile improvement rituals for a cross-functional team. On Tuesday, you will partner with our Head of Client Services to build a tactical process to address customer feedback, while prioritizing open issues relating to program delivery.
We don’t expect you to know everything on your first day. We will guide you as you get up to speed, but you should be comfortable learning quickly and prioritizing tasks. People who can set their own goals and execute them will thrive in this role.
**What you’ll do**:
- Build and promote a culture of accountability and sustainable positive urgency in delivery.
- Monitor and track delivery status across multiple teams and projects.
- Manage dependencies across cross-functional teams.
- Clearly communicate for impact across teams, functions and programs - ensuring broad understanding of status, risks, dependencies, and insights.
- Facilitate effective, timely and transparent team decision making practices.
- Ensure an appropriate degree of consistency in planning, documentation and core practices across teams to ensure meaningful velocity and promote our ability to scale how teams work across HIVERY.
- Monitor and track team health.
- Demonstrable experience of working across multiple time zones and cultures.
- Facilitate continual improvement rituals to build the effectiveness of product development and engineering teams.
- Build a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovation.
- Build partnerships with cross-functional teams to influence decisions, focus, align and prioritize effectively.
**Required Skills / Experience**:
- A minimum of 5 years Technical Program Manager experience, preferably at a SaaS company.
- Deep understanding of agile/lean software development processes.
- Knowledgeable in technical concepts, systems and practices.
- Experience working with onsite and remote Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver key company initiatives.
- Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- A natural communicator who leads through influence, not authority.
- A love for navigating complexity and a drive for solutions.
- Process-oriented but flexible in approach.
- Motivated to provide an inclusive and psychologically safe environment for our diverse team to collaborate together, in a timely fashion, towards shared goals.
- Introspective focus to continually improve the effectiveness of HIVERY teams.
- Dedicated to personal growth and improving in your craft as a TPM.
- Leadership capability to ensure clarity, alignment and accountability to achieve our strategic goals.
- Ability to think strategically but also make things happen.
- Understanding of Cyber Security.
- Knowledge in compliance standards such as SOC2, ISO27001 and GDPR.
