**About the role**

We have an opportunity for a **Technical Officer Grade 3 **to be part of our Communications Group team. The Technical Officer Grade 3 provides 24 hour/7 days support to the radio technical infrastructure utilised by the NSWPF and provides a coordinated approach to infrastructure management, maintenance and the operational needs of all users.

Applicants **must** hold a current driver’s licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months or NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.

**Target Question 1**:
Provide an example of your high level experience in digital conventional radio technologies, digital trunking networks and back haul linking technologies including Microwave, RF Links, VOIP and satellite.

**Target Question 2**:
Provide an example of your experience and understanding of IP broadband networks and how routers and switches are utilised in layer 2 and layer 3 networks. Also provide your knowledge of these networks and how they relate to Communication Centre architecture and associated subsystems.
