**About the Role**:
We are looking for a strategic and critical thinker who can provide leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of CTL priorities, ensuring that outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of the Department of Education's agenda to realise the potential of every student. The position is required to lead and deliver key strategic work and activities across CTL, supporting CTL teams and the Executive Director with projects and deliverables, including those aligned to the Equity and Excellence education strategy.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Coordinating and contributing to the strategic direction and activities related to CTL, as well as its operations.
- Providing high level advice and support to senior officers of CTL and other senior officers within the Reviews, Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (RCTL) Branch on policy and strategy relating to state schooling.
- Liaising with CTL teams and other branches to oversee and deliver interdepartmental and National priorities.
- Building positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing advice and guidance for regions and state schools.
Highly desirable skills and experience;
- A critical and strategic thinker, who can analyse issues, and make informed recommendations to senior leaders.
- Supports others to recognise strengths, biases and gaps in information and seeks advice to enable a prompt and considered response.
- Drives new thinking by encouraging others to share and debate ideas and creative solutions.
- Works with CTL teams to develop shared objectives and clear indicators for success.
- Exceptional writer and communicator;
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and coordination skills;
- Can work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team.
