**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Learning Designer (2 positions available) to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Learning Designer is responsible for contributing to the agreed strategic faculty priorities for curriculum transformation to deliver high quality curriculum aligned with QUT’s Real World Learning vision and blended and online framework. You will be an essential member of a Curriculum Design Studio team that supports faculties to design, develop and deliver transformative curriculum. You will use innovative pedagogical theory and practice and emerging technologies in the design, delivery and evaluation of whole of course design and curriculum for face-to-face, blended, flipped, mobile and online learning environments to meet the needs of learners.

**About the Learning and Teaching Unit**

The Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) is committed to a culture of collaboration, working in partnership with students, industry representatives, and staff across QUT to meet the evolving needs of our learners.

**What you need to succeed**

This role will suit those who have exceptional relationship management and highly developed interpersonal skills to build and foster connections within QUT and with the wider community.

You will demonstrate:

- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline area and extensive relevant experience.
- Experience in adopting a whole of course design methodology and implementing learning design methodologies which incorporate evidence-based pedagogy for on campus and digital learning environments.
- Proven ability to plan, design and deliver academic capability development activities and resources which increase the uptake of appropriate technology enhanced teaching practice to improve student learning experience approaches at an institutional level.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of transformational institutional policies and/or strategies for innovation in the delivery of higher education.
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner, influence learning and teaching practices and work as an effective team member.
