**ABOUT THE BRANCH AND TEAM**
The Service Delivery Office (SDO) is a leader in providing services under the Whole-of-Government Shared Services Programme. The SDO presents a unique opportunity to be involved in developing innovative service delivery arrangements, with an approach to collaboration and sharing of resources that has the potential to add value to not only existing customers but to set the scene for new ways of working across the Australian Public Service.
The Payroll and HR Systems team manages the payroll services to SDO clients to enable them to increase productivity and concentrate on their core business. We are responsible for the management and administration of all payroll systems and processes associated with human resources data and reporting. We are committed to consistently improving service standards through innovation, systems, and process enhancements.
**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITY**
As an APS 5 HR Systems Officer, you are required to undertake moderately complex tasks and work under general direction. You are also expected to provide first level support including investigation of all issues and ad-hoc reporting. You are accountable for meeting daily and weekly deliverables and using judgement when making decisions. It is a team and client contact role, and you are required to communicate with and provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing monthly and ad-hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Process establishment changes
- Process portal uploads for superannuation and provide assistance to super funds on contribution allocation
- Reconcile and submit Single Touch Payroll
- Provide support to the Payroll team members on system issue investigation.
