**About the role**

Reporting to the Executive Director Strategy & Future Business, the **Head of Strategy** will lead the development of Australasian enterprise and division-level strategy initiatives as well as integrate market intelligence, customer alignment, competitor analysis, regulatory change and technology development into coherent strategic options that provide an informed, contested and risk-aware decision-making platform.

Based in either Adelaide or Canberra, you will establish and oversee strategic options for the development and growth of Babcock Australasia, including assessing organisational performance and needs, developing goals aligned to a hierarchy of plans/roadmaps, and implementing projects and processes that improve organisational effectiveness to build a sustainable competitive advantage.

**About You**

You will be a strategy practitioner who can not only develop and present strategic options but can chart the course for implementation, analysis and reporting. You will understand the importance of developing pathways for people to successfully implement ideas and be experienced in environmental and market scanning, new market and competitor analysis as well as mergers and acquisitions.

To be considered for this role, you will also require:

- Extensive experience in developing solutions and opportunity scanning for projects of strategic significance;
- Expertise in strategic planning, project management, research and analytical skills;
- Demonstrable experience in financial forecasting to support strategic direction;
- Strong experience in delivery of business cases to support business solutions;
- Small team leadership experience.
