HEAD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Head of Information Technology has responsibility for providing effective leadership and management of data insights, technology, service providers, IT risk management, and information security (including cyber security). The key focus of the role is to develop and implement LLL’s information technology strategies, architecture, and road-map while maintaining robust IT governance, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for establishing an operating model that fosters a secure, scalable, and resilient information technology environment.

Principle responsibilities:

- Optimise performance through effective and secure use of data and technology
- Design and implement data governance, data risk management framework and related controls to maximise the value of data while managing ethical, legislative and regulatory requirements
- Operate and continuously improve the Information Security Management Framework (ISMF) ensuring effective governance and oversight
- Ensure incident management and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested
- Oversee the selection, acquisition and management of all information technology services and assets
- Advise COO and Executive members on emerging technologies, data and analytics, and digital trends most relevant to LLL’s evolving needs
- Achieve outcomes through the effective planning and execution of IT projects
- Collaborate with the PMO to ensure IT related projects deliver optimal business value, at affordable cost and acceptable level of risk
- Effectively manage risk and compliance through systems, processes, controls, and measures
- Provide IT strategic leadership expertise and develop effective business relationships to understand the role information technology can play in enabling business objectives
- Develop and lead the implementation of the IT strategy and road-map across information security, infrastructure, data/information management, reporting and communications to support the needs of LLL

Key requirements:

- Degree qualified in IT and/or business related professional qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in banking or financial services in an advantage
- Experience leading organisational change
- Successful track record managing and leading teams
- Proven expertise in data and insights, information technology, information security, IT risk management and regulatory compliance
