About ECHO
ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly and people living with disability to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.
We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and NDIS clients and 5 days per week for CHSP.
Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same support worker which means that you know the person who is coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support worker providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the person attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.
**Description**:
The role
This Full Time position ensures ECHO has the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles, at the right time to achieve truly exceptional individualised care. This is an opportunity for a professional and proactive person to work alongside the head of HR to develop his or her knowledge of HR and IR, while making a significant difference to the care of the elderly.
In this position you will support the end-to-end transactional and transformational lifecycle of employment which and will be accountable for:
Recruitment, Onboarding and Induction
Employees files management
Performance Management
Systems Administration, HRIS platform (ELMO)and Reporting
Termination and Exit interview.
Managing traineeship and external training registration
Monthly reporting
Working with operation departments to ensure day to day operations runs effectively.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Essential Criteria
Qualifications, Training and Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in human resource function and/or recruitment role.
- Tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in HR relevant discipline, and/or equivalent experience in human resources and/or industrial relations processes
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Computer skills including but not limited to Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
Technical Competencies
Attention to detail.
Experience in HR information systems
Excellent organisational skills.
Sound time management skills with an ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Human Relations
Superior interpersonal skills.
Above Average English communication level.
Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic.
Strong customer/client service focus.
Willingness to work as a team member and maintain a strong work ethic.
Personal Requirements
Demonstrates a positive and supportive outlook.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
Retains a high level of personal integrity and credibility.
Desirable
- Previous experience coordinating end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Experience in not-for-profit and health settings would be highly regarded.
ECHO staff are also required to complete satisfactory national police check and possess a current motor vehicle driver's licence.
