**About Your Role**:
Thales Australia provides logistics services expertise to our customer, the Australian Defence Force. Thales will train and qualify you to work in each area of our logistics business including, storage, maintenance and distribution. This will be comprised of ‘on the job’ training as well as courses through our in-house registered training organisation.

The Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) provides a critical role in safeguarding Australia through a world-class, compliant and safe Defence and national security explosives research capability.

The Logistics Officer will perform logistics compliance assurance, management and accounting of DST stock holdings on the Defence inventory management system as part of the energetics research program.

**This is an initial 12 months fixed term contract + multiple extension**
- Conduct Asset management and Stock Control
- Implementation and Management of COMSARM
- Conduct inventory assurance and stock checks
- Participate in Internal Assurance and Investigation: Discrepancies and Acquittals
- Act as the secondary DST Group EO Inventory Accounting Tool (IAT) User
- Conduct IAT database records management
- Conduct inventory accounting, data entry and record keeping
- Identify and correct data errors and account discrepancies
- Monitor the EO storage inventory with respect to routine inspection programs/shelf-life requirements
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the storage of explosive ordnance in multiple buildings
- Resolve discrepancies, where possible and refer others to the manager

**How About You**:

- Completed training/demonstrated competence Certificate IV in EO or the ability to obtain
- Intermediate operations of Excel and Word with a high level of accuracy
- Experience in electronic record keeping and information management
- Strong Customer service skills and experience
- Previous knowledge of EO and COMSARM would be highly advantageous
