This is an exciting opportunity to drive to take ownership of one of our Independent Grocery Retailer relationship with Metcash & Drakes.
This position incorporates all aspects of Account Management encompassing the development and execution of the Business Development Plan, and the strategic investment of trade spend within the channel.
**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF...**
You will be joining a passionate and dynamic team, you will work closely with our Sales team to develop and maintain strategies for your portfolio to achieve internal and external sales objectives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining customer plans to ensure delivery of objectives
- Monitoring performance against internal and external key performance indicators
- Formulating action plans as required to reflect changes in market, retailer and/or consumer dynamics to ensure performance objectives are being met
- Being the key Nestlé contact for all enquiries, internal and external, relevant to your category within Independent Grocery Channels.
- Supporting the development of category, channel, and field sales plans with internal stakeholders.
- Managing positive relationships with cross functional stakeholders, internally & externally
- Engaging and delivering sales priorities to the field team monthly.
- Completing quarterly market updates and insights for the Independent Grocery Channel
- Conducting analysis of regular pricing reviews & providing recommendations
**WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL**
- At least 2 years in Field Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Category Development experience with a CPG, distributor or retail operations.
- Analytical mindset is required as you deep dive into performance indicators and drive improvements in business processes and results.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role you will demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- You will be commercially savvy and have a history of building successful relationships with your customers and stakeholders.
- As a true partner to the business and customer, you are a confident communicator and have the ability to adapt communicate style with stakeholders.
