We're seeking a driven and hands-on Senior Accountant (or Finance & Reporting Manager, if experience permits) to join our dynamic team and play a key role in managing our financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional looking to take ownership of the finance function and grow within a well-established, forward-thinking business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate management reports, including cost analysis, sales performance, and margin reports to assist business decision-making.
 - Maintain and update current reporting systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
 - Support the finance team with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
 - Take full ownership of the weekly payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of wages, superannuation, and entitlements.
 - Process sales commissions both monthly and quarterly
 - Manage the lodgement of government and statutory obligations, including BAS, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax.
 - Perform reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
 - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and reporting systems.
 - Collaborate closely with management and internal teams to ensure financial transparency and control.
 
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA qualification preferred or in progress).
 - 5+ years' experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within a commercial or wholesale business environment.
 - Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modelling.
 - Experience using Power BI for business reporting and analytics.
 - Strong working knowledge of Tencia and/or Arrow systems is highly desirable.
 - In-depth understanding of payroll legislation, BAS, and Payroll Tax requirements.
 - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
 - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
 - A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to take initiative and ownership of outcomes.
