
Maintenance Purchase Officer

**Purpose of this role**

As a Maintenance Purchasing Officer you will oversee the purchasing system for maintenance parts and services, driving optimal maintenance cost and reliability through effective inventory management.
**Accountabilities**
- Raise and administer purchase orders to ensure on-time, lowest cost supply of goods and services to meet the site maintenance plan
- Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and to resolve issues with supply of materials
- Track the status of orders critical to production and maintenance timelines
- Ensure timely resolution of invoice queries and follow up on outstanding invoices as requested
- Produce maintenance cost reporting targeted at managing and optimizing maintenance spend on materials and services
- Receipt and store goods (and services) upon arrival and completion
- Manage to budget
- Inventory reporting including monitor and measure accuracy and completeness of ABC cycle counting with reasons for variances
- Manage the store room up to standard. Parts stored at right location. Create location for new parts when applicable
**Skills required**
- Previous experience in inventory management and purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Working knowledge of best practices in maintenance purchasing and stores optimization to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Demonstrated warehousing experience with strong inventory control skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and work effectively with internal and external customers
- Read and process written information with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience using purchasing and materials management processes within a CMMS environment (MAXIMO or other)
- Experience with purchasing systems and processes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills whilst maintaining high attention to detail
**Qualifications/Licences**
- Certificate/Diploma in Purchasing/Business/Logistics
- Fork Lift licence
