The role of purchasing Officer is to handle the company’s procurement activities. Develop purchasing strategies, maintain positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs on a daily basis, receiving and stock allocation. Overseeing the purchasing of all materials including coordinating with subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing at all times. This role is also responsible for organising deliveries, ensuring the correct wrapping, storage and loading of product awaiting delivery. This role is also responsible for organising and allocating work to the delivery team.
- Experience as a purchasing officer or in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independantly.
- Well versed in all cabinet making products.
- Understanding of the industry
- Demonstrate Organization skills
- Be fit and healthy to handle large items of joinery
- Be well presented, personally maintained, and ready to start work on time each day
- Display positive attitude
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Forecast Deliveries
- Forklift licence desirable

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thomastown, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
