**The Role**
The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Instructor and Certifying Officer is responsible for delivering aviation NDT training to the Australian Defence Force, Industry Partners and Foreign Defence Trainees.
Key Duties include:

- Deliver NDT training to Australian Defence Force, Industry and Foreign Defence Trainees.
- Maintain current NDT courseware and develop training packages for new and emerging technologies.
- Prepare, maintain and administer formative assessments.
- Provide counselling to trainees, document and report on trainee skills gaps, and develop and implement plans to address trainee shortfalls.
- Plan, implement and evaluate the NDT technical training program.
- Perform certification activities for trainees at completion of learning modules and for trained technicians at mandated periodic intervals.
- Maintain competence and personal certification in aerospace NDT methods in accordance with EN4179 (or equivalent).

**About our Team**
The Non Destructive Testing and Composite Technologies (NDT&CT) section is part of the Defence Aviation Safety Authority. We provide training, engineering support and act as the Centre of Expertise (CoE) for providing advice on Non-Destructive Testing and Aviation Composite Technologies to Defence.

The NDT&CT Training Development and Delivery Team is a small group of professional technicians and educators who are committed to ensuring the delivery of world-class training on behalf of the ADF. NDT&CT delivers training both locally and in a variety of locations domestically with members having the opportunity for travel to accomplish training and assessment outcomes.

Air Force is committed to upskilling an experienced Non-Destructive Technician to allow them to effectively deliver training and assessment outcomes.

As a collaborator you will be able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve training and education outcomes. You will be accustomed to working in a highly regulated environment and demonstrate the agility to remain accountable to relevant governance and controls which direct learning activities. You may also be required to ensure compliance with work health safety legislation and Defence safety policy.
