What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Property Operations Officer.
Under the Chief Financial Officer's portfolio, Strategic Property & Operations is responsible for proactively delivering property management services and activities to the AFP.
The Property Operations Team, delivers customer focused services in accommodation and facilities management, minor building projects and relocations nationally across all AFP locations.
The team also delivers customer focused services nationally across all AFP locations, in support of:
Whole of Australian Government Property Services Deed including the provision of Domestic & International Leasing, Facilities Management (Maintenance), Support Services, and Additional On-going & Non-Ongoing Services as required.
Day-to-day transactional activities & enquires related to property matters
The team is looking for a people with high attention to detail and a customer centric attitude to deliver and support the overall objectives of the team. The role(s) reports to the Team Leader.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

Manage Minor Building Projects
Spatial Management of floorplans including updates/changes
Relocation management
Block and Stack planning and execution
Adhoc analysis of building maintenance and accommodation change requests
Report development for committees and the executive
Provide adhoc administrative assistance to support team tasks
Work effectively in a small team environment
Role Responsibilities - Leasing Team
It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities which include, but not limited to:
Providing administrative support in relation to Minor Building Works; Project Engagements; on boarding, managing and off boarding Contractor/AFP appointees; Domestic & International Leasing, Finance processing & general office management.
Coordinating & attending meetings in support of Facilities Management functions such as State Office Group meetings, JLL Operational meetings & other stakeholder/operational related meetings.
Processing invoices through AFP systems, as part of Contract Management of the WOAG Deed & other operational functions.
Development of reports and analysis on the Property Services function.
Register & maintain contracts in AFP systems, updating databases and hardcopy files in support of maintaining reliable records & meeting compliance requirements.
Monitoring the Property Operations Inbox collaboratively to ensure enquires are directed to specific team members & broader Business Areas in a timely fashion.
Essential Requirements
You must be an Australian Citizen.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
