What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Property Operations Officer.
Property Operations, is responsible for proactively delivering property management and support services and activities to all areas of the AFP nationally. Property Operations is part of the Chief Financial Officer function and the role reports to a Team Leader.
The Property Operations Team, delivers customer focused services in accommodation and facilities management, minor building projects and relocations across all AFP locations.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
The Property Operations Officer assists in a variety of property management functions across the Teams. The role requires a highly motivated individual who is able to work collaboratively and effectively in a busy and demanding environment.
**Primary responsibilities include**:
Actively support and promote the Property Operations Team
Provide fact-based advice in relation to accommodation and facilities policies and procedures
Leasing and facilities enquires
Maintenance requests
NHQ parking requests
General support enquires
Assisting with the enabling and delivery of team projects
Providing administrative support in relation to Minor Building Works; Project Engagements; On-boarding and Off-boarding processes for Contractor/AFP appointees; Domestic and International Leasing, Finance processing and general office management.
Invoices processing through AFP systems, related to operational functions.
Provide adhoc administrative assistance to support team tasks.
Providing consistent high quality customer service to internal AFP and external stakeholders that builds a positive reputation and trust in Property Operations
Other duties as required
Essential Requirements
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Prior experience in an administrative role.
Customer focused with effective communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

This role is located in Canberra, ACT and applicants are expected to be based in Canberra.
