Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned facilities management professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of a commercial office building portfolio in Canberra, ACT.

About the Role
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory authorities and implement best practices in engineering.
  • Pursue sustainable initiatives to maximize property performance.
  • Drive asset performance to achieve NABERS energy and water targets through strategic planning and execution.
  • Coordinate efficient management of property services and works to minimize downtime and optimize resources.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas for improvement and determine repair works required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with specialist contractors to ensure they comply with contract terms and deliver high-quality results.
  • Prepare and manage annual property operations and capital works budgets, monitoring progress on a quarterly basis.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilities management within a commercial environment, preferably with a high-profile portfolio.
  • Able to think critically and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with property systems, including building services software procedures and tools.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time to meet deadlines.
