**About the Role**:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced **Engineering Manager** to lead our engineering and technical operations. In this key role, you will guide product strategy, drive innovation, and ensure compliance with IECEx, AS/NZS, and other relevant industry standards. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage complex technical projects, and deliver practical, compliant solutions that support business objectives.

**Base Salary**:$150,000 - $154,000
**Car Allowance**:$16,000
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Developing and executing engineering strategies, project plans, and resource allocation aligned with business goals.
- Representing engineering at executive level, driving continuous improvement in operations, compliance, and technical standards.
- Ensuring adherence to IECEx, AS/NZS, and other safety standards, managing audits, documentation, and liaison with certifying bodies, while leading HSEQ compliance and risk management across all engineering activities.
- Overseeing technical operations, maintenance, R&D initiatives and product development to maintain high quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Collaborating with internal departments to align engineering activities with certification, design, and innovation goals.
- Mentoring and developing engineering and sales teams to enhance technical capability.
- Driving process improvements to improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency across multiple sites.
- Owning engineering documentation and championing knowledge sharing across the organisation.
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in technical B2B solution selling, ideally in electrical or hazardous area industries.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical leadership role managing cross-functional or multi-site teams.
- Proven experience of IECEx certification, compliance documentation, and audit processes.
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS standards relevant to hazardous area equipment or industrial electrical systems.
- Experience in R&D, product development, or writing technical specifications for tenders.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on balancing compliance, customer needs, and business outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
