Retail State Manager

**About the role**:
Hype DC has a key Senior Retail Leadership opportunity for an experienced State Manager. You will be responsible for leading a team of 2 direct Area Manager reports and work with our 14 Store Leaders, indirect reports, across our stores in QLD to continue to accelerate the growth of our brand in the Queensland market.
We are looking for a State Manager who will build and drive a high-performance culture, inspire, and motivate the state and store teams and work closely with the Head of Retail and Support office functions to deliver business growth within your portfolio of stores.

**We are looking for an experienced leader who**:PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP**:

- Can establish strong professional partnerships with other key stakeholders and collaborate with them to deliver on business objectives

BUSINESS FINANCIALS AND OPERATIONS
- Drives strategies for QLD stores to deliver on business financial metrics and sales growth
- Monitors states financial metrics through evaluation and reporting on individual area and store performance against business objectives
- Will work closely with Head of Retail and key business functions to drive the growth of the QLD business
- Has a strong understanding of operational excellence requirements and ability to drive compliance with Area Managers and Store teams

- Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly, openly, honestly and in a timely manner. Creates a positive environment for two-way feedback
- High level of business acumen: Is able to understand trade patterns, business reports, P&L measures, budgeting, wage management, sales forecasts etc
- Collaboration and teamwork: ability to work harmoniously and productively with others to achieve business goals. Proactive in building partnerships with key functions in support office
- Operational experience: Inventory management, Visual Merchandising, Health, Safety and Well being
- Adaptable to a changing environment. Able to alter priorities and show resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic experience in building and executing strategies to deliver on the business goals, brand vision and drive further growth across all key areas through ‘bigger picture’ thinking.
