**Duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with**:

- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical
- Delivering high quality and effective onsite and online retail service to support the needs of customers - both clients and visitors, while meeting State Library's service commitments.
- Supervising a high performing Library Shop team in the day to day operations of the Library Shop. Includes coordinating sales, cash handling, float reconciliation, inventory management, customer orders and inquiries.
- Delivering a dynamic and agile retail environment while ensuring a customer-driven, streamlined retail experience, and meeting key financial targets and organisational priorities. Includes coordinating the Library Shop inventory through product curation that is responsive to the market with effective and relevant selling and visual merchandising strategies to promote and showcase local authors, stories and creators.
- Supporting the Coordinator, Library Shop, in the development of Library Shop inventory with appropriate and exclusive merchandise directly related to State Library exhibition programs, events and collections. This includes reasearch, cost analysis, and product development through to instore presentation and sales.
- Engaging, building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders including library staff, industry, government and external suppliers to ensure that the Library Shop inventory is targeted, relevant and appropriate for the community.
- Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups, including collaborating with other teams across State Library. This includes providing high quality customer support, as well as promoting State Librarys' services to external stakeholders, in order to increase usage of retail services.
- Contributing to business improvement activities and adhering to relevant polcies, procedures and guidelines to ensure venue management and retail services meet best practice and State Library requirements. This also includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions.
- Working effectively with colleagues and peers hile contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Library Shop team and an active participant in Venue Management and Retail branch planning and initiatives while providing guidnce and/or mentoring to casual employees ensuring they are included, supported and well-informed.
