We are extremely proud to be partnering with one of Australia’s most dedicated and purpose driven charitable organisations, St Vincent De Paul Society for the recruitment of State Commercial Analyst within their retail division in QLD.
This role is based in South Brisbane and reports directly to a dynamic GM of Operations.
**The Role**:
This is a newly created key position within the retail team, so the SCA will be leading the function of retail data analysis reporting across the state, extracting and analysing data to support retail operational decision making and providing insights to the leadership team to improve business modelling.
This role will also lead the transformation of the inventory management practices with a focus on streamlining processes to evolve and enhance the stock management system currently in place.
More specifically, this position is accountable for the following:
- Responsible for retail inventory management, reviewing current practices and implementing a state-wide approach focusing on business improvement and effective supply change management practices that complement the retail business model
- Point of contact for organisations POS system, ensuring the system is meeting business requirements and key stakeholders are provided adequate training and resources
- Oversee and conduct retail analysis for state operations identifying trends and opportunities to enhance our processes and operations
- Ensure retail data is provided to key stakeholders in a consistent format and provides recommendations and insights of individual areas
- Responsible for leading category performance and creating a Diocese Dashboard to inform business planning in a timely manner
- Build effective relationships throughout the organisation with a strong understanding of end-to-end operations and ability to deliver on strategic objectives in accordance with our mission and values-based leadership
- Implementing effective state-wide approach to consistent stocktakes and auditing inventory levels to support stock management practices
- Lead international purchases through an effective process and coordinate importing logistics with local stakeholders
- Accountable for providing inventory forecasts, reporting on end-to-end inventory sales, stock levels and obsolete stocks ensuring local management are engaged and well supported through the process
- Strategically review products and opportunities providing the business with advice as required
- Work strategically with the Retail and Marketing team to achieve optimal sell through results in promotional activities
- Support General Manager Operations to achieve retail strategic plan and support Diocese to achieve local retail targets
- Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by your Manager
- In all duties, comply with the behavioural expectations set out in the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland Code of Conduct, and our policies and procedures
- Comply with all WHS duties and responsibilities in accordance with the document WHS Directive: WHS Roles and Responsibilities (up to and including “State / Senior Managers”) and the WHS Act 2011
You will need to meet the following criteria to be successful in this position:
- Relevant Qualification equivalent in Business Management
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory processes on a state level within a retail environment
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft products is essential as is experience using ERP systems
- Familiarity with retail/hospitality POS systems (full induction and training on the POS will be provided)
- Advanced time management skills including the ability to multi-task
- Be analytical and have attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Must be a team player capable of working both independently and within a team
- Strong and demonstrated stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel within QLD on a visitation cycle to work closely with the Regional Operations Managers and their portfolio of retail stores
- Be an influencer of change
- Must be a great communicator and a lateral thinker (ability to see 2 steps ahead)
- Must be well organised
- Be accountable and follow through with what you promise
- Have a collaborative and systematic approach to daily tasks
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
