Take on a leadership role where your financial expertise will make a lasting impact on one of Queensland's most valued cultural institutions. As Lead, Finance, you'll oversee State Library's Finance function including the provision of management accounting, and statutory reporting services.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a high-performing finance team, provide trusted analysis and advice to senior leaders, and ensure robust financial governance across a diverse and dynamic program of work.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader capable of navigating the complexity of State Library services and supporting a diverse, concurrent program of work.

What you'll do:

  • Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Provide expert advice and submissions to senior stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Lead the timely delivery of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
  • Navigate the complexity of State Library's services, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.
  • Inspire and develop a capable finance team, driving accountability and professional growth.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience across both management and financial accounting.
  • Proven leadership ability, with a track record of supporting and motivating teams.
  • Confidence in delivering financial strategy and advice within a complex organisation.
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Commerce (CPA/CA desirable).
