**Strategic Initiatives and Delivery Leader**
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Pacific Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
**We will count on you to**:
- Drive business transformation and lead strategic initiatives, including Project Everest, by providing hands-on contributions and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and global colleagues.
- Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the initiative lifecycle, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project goals, and timely progress updates.
- Oversee delivery across a comprehensive change portfolio, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks to ensure projects meet organizational objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, representing the Pacific Operating Office locally and globally to foster positive outcomes and a culture of accountability.
**What you need to have**:
- Degree in Project Management, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in investment or asset management, with a strong background in investment operations, management, or data management.
- Proven experience leading strategic and transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and build strong relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and quality.
**What makes you stand out**:
- Experience working with third-party financial solution vendors such as Bloomberg, Factset, State Street Alpha, Jacobi, or Barra.
- Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams and managing complex projects.
- A strong interest in investment management and financial markets industry.
- Relevant certifications or specialized training in project management or related fields.
