Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership position? We have an exhilarating opening for a Delivery Lead role that will take accountability for end-to-end delivery of the amazing new capabilities within Energy Markets and Development area. You will form strong working relationships, collaborating with various delivery teams, product owners, business analysts as well as other key stakeholders to ensure successful and effective outcomes. This is a contract job opportunity with our client AGL for a six month duration, in a hybrid working environment based in Melbourne CBD.

What you'll be doing:

  • Take end-to-end accountability for leading delivery of technology-based products and services
  • Provide delivery-focused input that informs architecture, product design, and continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers to maintain momentum and optimise team velocity
  • Champion agile practices, transparency, and continuous improvement across delivery teams
  • Support Product Managers and Owners in shaping and tracking customer-centric product roadmaps
  • Drive progress against delivery roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and delivery partners, ensuring visibility of delivery status and risks
  • Foster a culture of innovation and improvement in delivery practices
  • Establish and maintain delivery rhythms (e.g. agile rituals, reporting cadences) in alignment with broader value streams
  • Coordinate partner resources and manage delivery operations including planning, reporting, and risk management

About you:

We seek a passionate and experienced technology delivery leader who can provide thought leadership in engineering principles and practices, specifically for the trading and portfolio systems. Joining this team means working with cutting-edge technologies in the Microsoft Azure stack as well as learn about the Wholesale side of the Energy industry. You will unleash your passion for working with cross functional teams to find effective technology-based solutions to complex business challenges. You will serve as an advocate for the wholesale business, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and providing consultation and guidance. This role offers immense potential to make a lasting impact on our organization and its valued customers.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Proven experience in a Technical Delivery role, showcasing your expertise over the years
  • Leadership prowess, with experience managing diverse delivery teams and embodying our values
  • Strong familiarity with agile development practices and a track record of cultivating high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective stakeholder relationship development skills, with the ability to pitch technology solutions to leadership stakeholders
  • A true passion for emerging technologies and their potential to drive strategic outcomes and solve complex business problems
  • Drive and influence to spearhead cultural change and promote innovation
