**The Role**
The ICT Accreditation Officer (ICTAO) will engage with project teams and stakeholders to collaborate, develop and assist with ICT accreditation, security advice and risk assessments. They will develop registers and schedules, including scheduling re-certifications of sustained capabilities. The position is a key contact for the coordination and management of Navy accreditation. It will involve engagement with stakeholders across the Navy cyber worthiness community of practice, the conduct of reviews, and the conduct of independent technical research and analysis.

Under the guidance of the Information Security Team Leader, the successful applicant will contribute to team coordination and planning, and gain experience in formulating policy advice and recommendations. They will be required to develop and maintain a sound understanding of all relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission.

Key responsibilities include:

- Use experience to provide advice on a range of cyber and information security matters.
- Prepare and produce cyber security reporting, policy or doctrine.
- Evaluate cyber and information security practices and procedures to ensure compliance with security policies, standards and guidelines.
- Use expertise to research and identify cyber and information security vulnerabilities.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment and actively participate in team. work and group activities.
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**About our Team**
The Navy Intelligence & Information Warfare Branch (NI&IWB) is an exciting and cutting edge workplace. The Branch supports the Chief of Navy in his role as a Capability Manager by sponsoring the Maritime Command and Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (MC5ISREW) Program. It is an exciting time to join the Branch as we strive to support next generation capabilities and new platforms out to 2030 and beyond. The Branch structure consists of around 80 personnel within nine directorates, including an Executive team, and employs an integrated workforce; consisting of mostly Navy personnel, supported by a smaller number of APS and contractor staff.

The ICTAO is located within the Directorate of Navy Cyber and Space (DNC&S). DNC&S is a small team of eight personnel responsible for the provision of Navy’s cyberspace operations capability, cybersecurity requirements, cybersecurity awareness and cyber worthiness policy. It is also responsible for developing Navy’s space capability requirements and policy.
