**Job Description**:
**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- Providing a sense of welcome and departure to all guests and visitors within the Hotel
- Accurately logging and delivering all guest messages, parcels and flowers to the guest rooms
- Liaising closely with Reception, Guest Relations, Reservations, Communications and Guest Services Ambassadors to ensure guests arrivals, departures and queries are handled courteously and efficiently and guest expectations are exceeded
- Assisting guests with all requests regarding city information, theatres, tours, restaurants, limousines, couriers, car rentals, mailing and stamps, all current events available in Melbourne and major events in Australia
- Promoting and selling the services offered by the Hotel (restaurants and bars) and available through the hotel (tours, cruises, hire cars)
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities and promotions
- Communicating with a diverse range of people in a professional manner
- Attending to guest’s requests quickly and efficiently, constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction
**Qualifications**:
**TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTE INLCUDE**:
- Have a minimum 12 months experience in a luxury hotel environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional image at all times through personal presentation/interpersonal skills
- Organised and efficient with high energy levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with acute attention to detail
- Versatility when responding to guest requests
- The ability to remain calm and work effectively in high volume work situations
- Have a thorough knowledge of Melbourne and surroundings
- Initiate contact, establish rapport easily and remain calm and effective in high volume work situations
- Be good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked
- Experience with Opera and HotSos
