**Accountabilities include**:
- Manage Translink Division's legislative program including development of passenger transport legislation that facilitates government and organisational objectives.
- Lead the provision of information and advice to Translink Division, departmental and other stakeholders on the operation of passenger transport legislation in Queensland.
- Collaborate with policy areas to identify, analyse and address policy and legislative issues to ensure the regulatory framework operates as intended and can accommodate emerging passenger transport trends.
- Lead development of sound legislative options and recommendations to support best practice passenger transport outcomes, including preparation of complex documents such as Cabinet submissions, briefing notes, drafting instructions, explanatory notes and Executive Council minutes.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships including with the Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel and other government agencies to ensure effective legislation is developed with stakeholder support.
- Proactively manage all aspects of staff performance including coaching, mentoring and developing staff, giving performance feedback and undertaking recruitment and selection.
- Leadership and people management including the management of recruitment, performance, development, team communication, and ensuring a safe and diverse work environment.
- Management functions including business planning, financial management, governance and other responsibilities as legislated in the Public Service Act 2008 to ensure delivery of a responsive, effective and efficient services to the community and the Government.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
