The role of the Manager Housing Legislation and Implementation is to oversee the implementation of crucial legislative changes within the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008, conduct monitoring and evaluation processes to identify emerging issues, and foster collaboration with government, industry, and community stakeholders to inform policy development.
This position plays a key role in championing the RTA's vision and values by strategically influencing positive outcomes for the rental sector through effective project governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic partnerships. This role is pivotal in leading and managing the Housing Legislation team, functions and initiatives, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Extensive experience in the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships across a wide range of government and non-government organisations and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to conduct expert analysis of legislation, including identifying trends and emerging issues, then developing initiatives to address
- Highly developed leadership skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in the research, development and implementation of legislative changes, policy development, reporting, including stakeholder engagement programs and initiatives
- Experience in leading the facilitation of working groups, committees and stakeholder consultations to ensure effective collaboration between stakeholders (who may have competing priorities)
- High level communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
