Brisbane, Australia Agriculture and Fisheries Full time

Coordinate and provide advice on policy and operational matters to the Director-General, Deputy Directors-General and other senior executives on Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary business.
- Coordinate material prepared for consideration of, and the flow of information between, the department, other departments, the Minister, Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliament.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of Cabinet, Executive Council or Parliamentary documents relevant to the Minister's responsibilities to ensure quality content, relevance and appropriateness and that these documents have been developed in accordance with government guidelines.
- Provide procedural advice and manage the provision of support services for the operation of Cabinet including maintaining storage, security and control of Cabinet documents.
- Provide advice on the implications of recommendations contained in Cabinet documents including draft legislation.
- Provide specialist advice in relation to the format, timing and security requirements of Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary documents.
- Monitor the department's legislative program and advise Cabinet Services and the Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel on the content and status of legislative proposals.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships/networks within the Office of the Director-General, the department and across government to facilitate Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary business.
