**The Role**

This position is responsible for supporting the corporate strategy, valuations and analytical activities for Origin.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Support the strategy development and analysis efforts of Origin across the energy chain.
- Drive Origin’s understanding of domestic and global markets and business opportunities.
- Lead and manage valuations and modelling activities.
- Lead market and economic analysis and insights.
- Conduct strategic analysis including competitor benchmarking, market analysis, industry intelligence, scenario planning.
- Analyse key strategic opportunities across all areas of the business.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create free flow of ideas and information across the business.
- Prepare presentations and written materials to senior management and the Board to communicate key strategic and commercial insights.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of energy markets and capital markets.
- 8-10+ years experience in commercial / analytical position.
- Manage and conduct the evaluation of new investment / acquisition opportunities and communicate recommendations to senior management.
- An ability to use analytical thinking to investigate and solve complex problems.
- Highly numerate with the ability to build and interpret complex models.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal (colleagues, senior managers, ELT) and external stakeholders.
- Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint, which will be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging analyses reports and presentations.
- Strong attention to detail, have high-energy and a proactive nature, have a positive can-do attitude, be result-driven, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and work comfortably in a group/collaborative setting.
- Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines, and demonstrate an ability to stay calm under pressure.
