**Talent International** is currently recruiting for a **Finance** Officer** to work for a** NSW Government **based in **Parramatta / WFH**. This position is a contract position for **4**-month contract role with the possibility of being extended **and are paying **between $40 - 50 hr + Super.**

Hours: 7hr/day 35hr/week

**Primary purpose of the role**:
The role provides support in the financial and funding management, monitoring and forecasting of budgets and the preparation and analysis of financial reports within the External Relations Policy Directorate.

The role is also responsible for administrative and operational support across the External Relations Policy Directorate.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Assist in the management of the External Relations Policy budget and the provision of monthly forecasts, analysis and advice to support decision making and ensure best practice financial management services and systems are implemented.
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports and training of staff in administration and accounting procedures to support the provision of quality services within budget.
- Undertake office accounting and administrative functions to support the operations across the External Relations Policy Directorate accounts, monies received, office assets and reporting functions.
- Co-ordinate and oversee the purchase and maintenance of equipment and stores across the External Relations Policy Directorate including travel and accommodation to support the provision of quality services within budget.
- Liaise with External Affairs and Regulation Strategic Resource Management Directorate, Corporate Finance Directorate and other Departmental officers and external providers as appropriate on budget, salary, accounts and administration matters to ensure the External Relations Policy is operating within budget and in accordance with Government policy.
- Assist in thee investigation, analysis and reconciliation of financial reports including employee related expenses and general expenses to support the effective operation of the External Relations Policy Directorate.
- Assist in managing financial year-end processes including prepayments and accruals as well as preparing annual returns to ensure that year-end processes are finalised effectively and on time.
- Accurately process transactions in accordance with current finance procedures, regulations and policy.
