The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an exciting permanent full time opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join us in the Customer Systems & Operations based at Parramatta office.

TfNSW offers flexible working arrangements with a balance of office and work from home options.

If successful, you will provide a range of financial management services and analysis support to Customer Systems and Operations (CSO) branch in meeting its financial and commercial business objectives.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Responsible for various aspects of the month-end close process, including managing corrections for accounting during month end close, accrual entries, etc.
- Undertake research to assist with financial analysis and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data and identify risk areas. This includes monitoring of monthly results for transactional issues with accruals, prepayments and project costing allocations.
- Support in the preparing of detailed "bottom up" financial data inputs and commentary to produce reliable and robust financial information, including financial statements and inputs to other financial management reporting and analysis.
- Support periodical forecasting by undertaking a monthly proactive review of costs; flag early any changes to be inputted into the forecast based on actual results

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience in management accounting, you will have demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate financial data to stakeholders.
- Deliver complete financial support to all functions (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, financial performance reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis).
- You are well versed in Excel and Power BI.
- You are someone who works collaboratively with others, building and maintaining strong team relationships.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP is highly advantageous.

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 7 ($108,770 - $ 121,822) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
