**The Role**

The General Manager of Innovation and New Ventures is responsible for driving innovation initiatives and identifying new business opportunities for the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, market trends, and customer needs to develop and execute strategies that lead to sustainable growth and competitive advantage.

This role will require you to;
- Develop and execute the company's innovation strategy, identifying opportunities for new ventures and partnerships
- Leadership of existing WikiCamps digital community product
- Lead cross-functional teams to launch new ventures, products, and services, from ideation to execution
- Foster a culture of innovation within the company, encouraging creativity and experimentation
- Develop and manage relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders, including investors, customers, and industry associations
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and trends that may impact the company's business model or competitive landscape
- Work with other department heads to ensure the Ventures and Innovation team is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Manage the budget and resources of the Ventures and Innovation team, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively

**Your Experience**

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant along with sound experience in business development, product development or entrepreneurship, with a track record of launching successful ventures or partnerships. You will have strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate market opportunities and make balanced business decision.

Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with stakeholder management a focus.

You will by naturally curious and possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
