**The Role**
Our technology engineering teams have built some of Australia’s most popular websites, app and on location technology, with millions of unique visitors each year to our digital platforms. The G'day Group is undergoing a significant period of growth and is investing in technology and business processes to ensure we can provide market leading digital experiences for our customers. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of a team delivering solutions for a state-of-the-art ecosystem that is transforming the regional accommodation industry.
As the General Manager - Cyber and Resilience, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard our online retail platform and remote locations. You will lead a team of cybersecurity professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Your role responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute a holistic cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and effectively mitigates cyber threats
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust cybersecurity systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, data loss prevention mechanisms, and encryption protocols
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, and risk management teams, to identify security requirements and implement appropriate controls and safeguards
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential weaknesses and recommend remedial actions to address them
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Monitor and investigate security incidents, responding promptly to security breaches, and initiating necessary actions for incident containment, recovery, and reporting.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively recommend enhancements to the company's security posture, including work with the G’Day group board.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry groups to leverage best practices and stay informed about emerging security solutions.
**Your Experience**
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field, combined with industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are highly desirable. Extensive experience in leading and managing cybersecurity teams in a complex and dynamic environment, preferably within the e-commerce or online retail industry.
You will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’Day Group. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
