**Company Overview**
Our client is a leading international FMCG manufacturing business with an outstanding employer brand. They produce innovative solutions to a broad range of clients and take great pride in their customer service. Our client is now seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the Australian operations to success.
**Role Overview**
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager will develop and implement a long term sales strategy for the local markets with a focus on profitable growth and customer centricity. This role is accountable for meeting KPIs/targets including turnover, contribution, EBITDA, cash pooling, customer satisfaction, employee engagement and growth. With a focus on continuous improvement, the General Manager will provide strategic leadership to the team, while implementing best practices and innovative solutions, to ensure all products are produced within the agreed quality and quantity specifications and standards in the most timely and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all business functions with full P&L responsibilities including operations, sales, finance, marketing, IT, etc.;
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to support business growth and production optimisation;
- Identifying new business development opportunities and overseeing all sales activities;
- Building and maintaining relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Ensuring workplace compliance to relevant legislation and HSEQ requirements at all levels;
- Developing a high performing team while actively promoting a positive and collaborative culture.
