**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The role of the Human Resource Officer is to provide proactive advice range of human resources (HR) generalist matters with a focus on industrial relations and workers compensation matters. This role will provide support with Human Resource, Work, Health and Safety and training and development functions (including recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, industrial relations and return to work), in addition to providing input and assistance to strategic HR projects.

**The main responsibilities of this role include**:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection of vacant and new positions using JobAdder software in accordance with Compass’ policies and procedures including:

- Advertising positions
- Providing information to potential applicants about the recruitment process
- Preparing and distributing interview packs and participating on selection panels
- Conducting reference and pre-employment checks
- Manage employee orientation activities including: Letters of offer, new starter documentation, creation of personnel files, facilitation of orientations process and induction session

**ABOUT YOU**
- Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or relevant experience
- Return to Work Qualifications &/or experience
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence
- Demonstrated experience in providing timely and accurate advice in relation to human resource practices, procedures and industrial legislation
- Demonstrated understanding of human resources and work, health & safety systems, processes and best practice customer service
- Experience in delivering presentations or facilitating training to small groups
- Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements together with policies and procedures
- Computer literacy, with sound working knowledge of MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK)

PBI not for profit status which allows additional salary sacrifice benefits i.e., salary sacrifice up to $611 per fortnight

Study Leave 5 days per year plus study budget of $1,200 per year

Flexible working arrangements either a 19-day month or 9-day fortnight (based on working additional hours of work)

Flexibility to undertake work from home 2 days per week
