We are looking for a vibrant, reliable manager who can oversee our music studio based in Maroubra, Sydney.

**Ideally, our Part Time Studio Manager will be competent in 3 core areas**:

- Overseeing our administrative systems and processes
- Ensuring our classes and studio are held with excellence
- Organising events and performances

As we are a start-up studio, there is immense room for growth: both in terms of hours and pay rates. If the Manager shows us they are competent and able to maintain and build a streamlined, thriving studio environment - we would love to consider a Full Time position + Commission based incentives in the future.

**Role Requirements**:

- Our Manager must be able to come into our studio minimum 4 afternoons a week, but also be independent enough to work remotely / virtually from home from time to time.
- We are looking for someone who continues to challenge themselves to develop professionally, work in a supportive environment but is also self-driven

**Here is a brief overview of the skills and expectations we have for our studio manager**:
1) Overseeing our administrative systems and processes
- Be the face of our business through customer service
- Prepare and reconcile our invoices, payments and teacher payroll.
- Communicate dates for the school term, holidays and programs
- Manage the schedule for each quarter, organising classes
- Update our website with any announcements

2) Ensure our classes and studio are held with excellence and quality
- Ensure all classes and events at Music on Purpose are of a high quality
- Offer clear direction on standards and next steps for teachers and students
- Check in with staff members 1-1 (via phone call or coffee) once a quarter
- Assist organising staff dinners, training sessions and meetings
- Monitor our “Video Performances” in Week 5 of each term
- Be proactive to find new ways to make the classroom experience more streamlined

3) Organise events and performances
- Plan and coordinate high quality music and performance events
- Facilitate and direct public performances with the school calendar
- Manage the music calendar for performances throughout the year
- Create strategic partnerships with sponsors who can support us to run our events

**Please note**:

- Prior education and training in Administration and Management is not required, but is highly favoured.
- A musical background and teaching experience is preferred
- We will provide training on how to use our Administrative and finance systems
- 2 Referees and References must be included in the CV or resume attached

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $30.22 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
