**The Role**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive information technology and cyber security program and framework
- Develop and implement IT and cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures which balance risk reduction and operational flexibility
- Oversee the implementation of technical solutions and controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
- Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration testing
- Manage incident response and disaster recovery planning
- Manage security-related vendor relationships and contracts
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote a culture of security awareness and risk management
- Provide regular information and training for staff members on avoiding security risks and identifying and handling of security threats
- Stay current with evolving security threats and technology trends
- Lead investigations into security incidents and violations
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, with a focus on leadership and management
- Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Experience with cloud security best practices (Azure AD, AWS, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, IRAP etc.
- Experience assisting an organization achieve DISP membership
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and vendor management skills

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fortitude Valley, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
