**About the role**
We are seeking an** Event Operations Coordinator** to join our dynamic **Operations** team.
In this role, you will manage the booking and approval processes for events, parades, festivals, and public gatherings across the City of Melbourne. You will review and analyse event documentation—including risk management plans—ensuring permit information is accurately captured and processed through digital systems.
You will ensure permits are processed in line with corporate policies, logístical procedures, and risk mitigation standards to guarantee safe, well-coordinated, and compliant events throughout the city.
As a key team member, you will demonstrate flexibility, collaboration, and a consultative approach. You will work independently with mínimal supervision while proactively contributing to team initiatives. This role requires balancing individual accountability and teamwork to ensure all approvals and pre-event requirements are met.
