A leader in the field of international freight and logistics, our client’s global Project / Events Freight division is in growth mode and they now have a necessity for a Project / Events Operations Coordinator in their Melbourne office.

Working within a small team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, operational management and execution of freight movements for project specific cargo.

This role is going to suit a real “go-getter” who can multi-task and who relishes the chance to take on this vital support role. Variety is what you will expect on a day to day basis. This is not an average operational position.

Main responsibilities will include:

- Organising and managing the day to day operations of project shipments
- Liaising with overseas offices, shipping lines and associated agencies
- Import registrations, lodging cargo automation, liaison with internal customs department, track and trace and invoicing
- Coordination of cargo collection, unpack and arrange deliveries
- Supporting the Project Head by assisting in end to end tendering opportunities including obtaining specialised solutions and quotes;
- Liaising with clients and all stakeholders on an individual basis and promptly attending to their queries, ensuring that there is daily contact when required
- Managing documentation and keeping database up to date

All of the above is critical to our client’s success in the extremely competitive Project Freight arena.

**To be considered for this role applicants must have solid operational and customer service experience within the Project Freight Forwarding Industry**.
