Internal Change Communications Specialist

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transformation Program group at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office.
**Internal Change Communications Specialist**
This role works within the Change Enablement stream of a large multi-year Business Risk Transformation program. Reporting into the Change Lead and collaborating across the program, you will develop strategies, tactics, key messages and communication materials to drive and achieve the Transformation goals and objectives within the organisation. The scope of the change communication activity is internal; across team members, leaders and executives.
This role is also the primary interface between the program and the Marsh McLennan Internal Communications Team and responsible for identifying opportunities to align messaging for key audience groups and securing access to broadcast internal communication channels as required. You will also highlight any considerations to Media Relations as required.
18-month contract
**We will count on you to**:
- Design and execute communication strategies and tactics which support program execution and the transformation of risk management and risk culture at Mercer.
- Craft key messaging and materials to support the change effort. Provide guidance and creative ideas to the team to maximise cut-through.
- Prepare and maintain the forward calendar of business engagement activities e.g. Town Halls, Leader Talking Points, Executive Briefings.
- Actively participate in the planning, design and sequencing of activity with change colleagues within the program to deliver a narrative and sequence of messaging that support the overarching change approach.
- Provide appropriate oversight and review of program and change communications to ensure they align with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Ongoing management and oversight of the single view of communications to enable the bundling of messages across multiple streams.
- Provide key messages to the business on risk transformation as required
- Measure effectiveness of communications as part of the overall change effort.
**What you need to have**:
- At least 10 years’ experience in communications, ideally within superannuation, wealth or financial services.
- Ideally, experience working in large, complex programs with challenging change agendas.
- Exceptional written communications and the ability to simplify the complex and customise messaging to different audience groups.
- Strong verbal and presentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Strong work ethic, proactive and able to deal with conflicting priorities and ambiguity.
- Experience in managing sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and risk management highly regarded.
