We are excited to introduce a brand-new team at Transurban - Road Experience, Operations, Assets and Corporate Development (ROAD) - with a core focus on delivering excellent on-road experience and operational efficiency across all Australian markets.

This newly created role will sit within the Optimisation team and will contribute to meaningful change by driving efficiency and improvement across the enterprise.

About the role

As the Change Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving large-scale change initiatives that will enable the newly formed ROAD Leadership Team to achieve optimal levels of safety, productivity, and efficiency.

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the ROAD Leadership and their teams to develop and implement a robust change management framework. By establishing new ways of working, you will help set the stage for sustained excellence across the organisation.

Success in this role hinges on your ability to build strong internal relationships at all levels of ROAD, effectively self-manage and prioritise projects based on risk and value assessments and deliver meaningful change outcomes.

You’ll join an innovative new team that drives efficiency across the business, including facilitating efficient governance decisions impacting on-road experience and standardising the quantification of benefits.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Build strong relationships and a network of change influencers across ROAD-
- Create and execute change plans, assess readiness, and support leaders-
- Develop and implement plans for initiatives, including managing communications-
- Integrate change management practices into broader optimisation and continuous improvement activities-
- Offer expert change advice on optimisation programs elements, including timing and sequencingThis role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Experience in change management principles, frameworks, and tools, either in-house or via consultancy-
- Ability to independently deliver projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments-
- Outstanding stakeholder and influencing skills at all organisational levels, building credibility and trust-
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strengths in consultation, advocacy, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution-
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations-
- Formal qualifications in Change Management, Project Management or, Communications, or stakeholder engagement-
- Knowledge of human-centered design principles, and proven Project Management skills-
