**The Role**
We have a newly created opportunity to join our growing Employee Experience team as Head of Internal Communications and Engagement.
In this role, your focus will be to create and deliver a compelling strategy that ensures our employees are informed and engaged with MLC Life Insurance’s values and vision. You will create and manage content to help build our employee brand and a culture of belonging where our people can thrive.
**_ Your responsibilities will include:_**
- Planning, designing and implementing clear and compelling internal communications to inform, align and engage our people around important campaigns, announcements, and changes.
- Delivering exceptional employee experiences through both in person and virtual events including Town Halls, Roadshows, Senior Leader calls, Extended Leadership Meetings, DEIB and wellbeing calendar of events to engage and inform various audiences.
- Working closely with the Insurance Leadership Team and CEO to lead internal communications and events activities and initiatives e.g. wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, recognition, values, career development, performance, cyclical talent processes etc.
- Coaching, supporting, and developing leadership capability to design and deliver key messages through storytelling and influencing.
- Considering new channels and communication tactics that help to create greater connectivity and improve the effectiveness of our internal communications.
- Leveraging existing channels to continue to deliver engaging intranet content and communications.
- Partnering with the Corporate Affairs team to ensure the alignment of internal and external messaging.
- Discovering and finding ways to share stories across the business that celebrate our people, unique differences and build our employee experience.
- Networking both internally and externally to understand what makes us different and enables us to build a strong employer brand and experience.
- Leading internal communications and building the capability of the Internal Communications & Engagement team.
**About You**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications & approx. 10 years’ experience in a communications/events role, in the corporate sector, ideally financial services.
- People leadership experience with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Strong senior stakeholder experience, particularly at a senior leadership level.
- Ability to craft high-quality content in a fast-paced environment whilst being able to prioritise and work on multiple projects within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing communications campaigns, working proactively and reactively, with a strong focus on employee engagement and change management.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders to build employee engagement.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships across the business.
- Outstanding oral communication skills and a great team player.
