**The Role**
Join a dynamic team of health professionals providing high quality health care to members of the Australian Defence Force. The APS 5 Logistics Officer supports the logistics function at Richmond Health Centre - RAAF Richmond and is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory and asset management within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
An APS 5 Logistics Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the Logistics Management function area based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment and perform procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results.
The duties of an APS5 Logistics Officer occupation in Defence include but are not limited to the following:
1.Manage governance duties on logistics inventory management activities in accordance with the Electronic Supply Chain Manual.
2. Coordinate logistics inventory management through the use of information management systems and responding to inventory requests.
3. Compose responses to correspondence, briefs and reports on logistics inventory management activities.
4. Demonstrate knowledge to provide advice on logistics inventory management to stakeholders.
**About our Team**
Joint Health Command (JHC) is responsible for the delivery of military medicine and joint healthcare services to over 70,000 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. JHC is also responsible for the health preparedness of ADF personnel for operations, and the coordination of health units for deployment in support of operations.
The APS5 Logistics Officer will have excellent stakeholder management skills and will be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
