**The Role**
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is seeking an APS 5 Project Support Officer to work in our Capability Enhancement Team. You will work on a range of Air Force’s Air Mobility project activities, supporting the C-130J Hercules, the C-27J Spartan aircraft and associated systems.
Your work within the team, delivering capability enhancement projects, will directly support the Air Mobility Group within the Royal Australian Air Force achieve their objectives. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Australian Public Servants, Australian Defence Force members, Contractors and our Industry Partners. As the APS 5 Project Support Officer, you will be able to
- Contribute to and support the development and maintenance of project planning and performance processes.
- Prepare project assurance documentation, including schedules, deliverables, risks and issues.
- Research, draft and prepare briefs, correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration.
- Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders and understand their expectations and concerns.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
**About our Team**
Your future Capability Enhancement Team is part of the Project Management Unit (PMU) within the Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO), located at RAAF Base Richmond. The PMU comprises both Australian Public Servants (APS), Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Contractors. Aside from the usual business support functions, the Capability Enhancement team is primarily engaged to specify, plan and deliver capability enhancement projects to support the Royal Australian Air Force fleet of C-130J Hercules and the C-27J Spartan.
The team is located proudly in Greater Western Sydney at RAAF Base Richmond, an hour west of Sydney and near the beautiful Blue Mountains. The Base has a full size gymnasium, Olympic size swimming pool and cinema, which is accessible to all while working at RAAF Base Richmond.
