**The Role**
Situated within Headquarters Air Mobility Group (HQ AMG) is the Air Mobility Control Centre (AMCC). AMCC effectively and efficiently plans, constructs and controls air mobility missions. Air Force is seeking a proactive and committed team member to lead and mentor the HQ AMG Operational Support Team.

As the APS 5 Team Leader - Mission Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Leading a small integrated team, performance reporting and the provision of ongoing training and development;
- Conduct governance, assurance and validation functions post mission activity;
- Drafting HQ AMG financial Instruments for support of air mobility missions;
- Analyse and interpret data and information extracted from a variety of sources to assist in AMG’s budgetary decision making and provide periodic transactional reporting;
- Engage and negotiate with domestic/international clients and stakeholders;
- Responsive to complex enquiries, taking initiative to identify alternate courses of action when necessary; and
- Build and sustain productive relationships with supervisors, staff and team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.

**About our Team**
AMCC is responsible for effective execution of air mobility missions for Australian Defence Force projection. As such, squadrons within the AMG - Force Element Group (FEG) operate multiple missions on a daily basis nationally and internationally.

AMG are the custodians of six passenger and cargo aircraft types and deliver lines of effort including air logistic support, airborne operations, and air-to-air refueling in addition AMG support a range of aero-medical evacuations and search and rescue missions. Situated within the AMG construct, the AMCC Unit consists of five cells including air lift coordination, planning, operations and executions, mission support and governance, assurance and validation - post activity missions.

You will be part of a small AMCC team which is responsible for the support AMG air mobility missions by providing assurance by way of transactional validations on behalf of AMG to external stakeholders, providers and vendors while preparing accurate transactional reporting.

To be suitable for the role of APS 5 Team Leader - Mission Assurance Officer you should possess most or all of the following skills, qualities and experience:

- Experience in leading a team and the ability to assist and support staff development through training, coaching and providing feedback;
- Ability to identify and interpret relevant policies and procedures to enact and remain compliant within a financial and records management framework;
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring governance, assurance, auditing and delivering on corporate reporting activities;
- Display strong written, verbal and e-communication skills;
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities;
- Strong analytical skills to identify inaccuracies and contribute to solutions; and
- Ability to communicate, liaise and maintain relationships with a variety of internal/external stakeholders.
